Born in 1950, Italian. Andrea Riccardi is the founder of the Community of Saint’Egidio. He worked as a university professor of contemporary history and history of Christianity. From 2011 to 2013 Riccardi was the Italian Minister for International Cooperation and Integration. In 2009 he received the international “Charlemagne Prize” and in March 2015 became the President of the Dante Alighieri Society. He is a co-founder of Together for Europe.
