Europe Day 2021

9 May 2021,

“The unity of Europe was a dream of a few. It has become a hope for many. Today it is a necessity for all’. (Konrad Adenauer, one of the Founding Fathers of the European Union).

9 May 2021 – Europe Day in times of pandemic. Through friendship between Movements and Communities and in collaboration for the needy, for the environment and for peaceTogether for Europe wants to become more and more a sign of hope.
Everyone is called to be a protagonist in daily life. Getting started is not difficult. Let us ask ourselves every morning: to whom can I be close today, concretely and in prayer?

Caring for neighbours, colleagues, refugee families, the elderly, the sick and children is a social vocation with planetary dimensions: act locally – think globally.

The aim is that from this day a stronger cohesion can develop in Europe. The technical possibilities of coming together virtually across Europe are a real opportunity to enrich one another through mutual sharing.
